One day to go and I think I screwed up already

I need some help. I wasn't sure if you can't eat anything or drink for 24 hours or after 12 midnight before surgery.?Call doctor office but nurses are gone for the day. I drank some some water, will this hinder my surgery. I'm freaking out.
