So, today I am 14 days post op and feeling great! I'm able to eat a little bit more than I'm supposed to..so I'm struggling on the willpower aspect. My first fill is Nov 18, so I have about a month more of bandster hell to go through. I will try my best, and get to excersizing! I'm definitely eating less...but I'm not choosing the best foods for myself. Tommorrow is a new day, and I'm back on track. I'm eating enough protein and taking my vitamins though..so that's good. Anyway... Ill keep you all updated!

I have my pre op with Surgeon wednesday. Had my pre op blood work/EKG/chest xrays on the 24th. FAINTED during bloodwork! ick!! everything other than that went extremely smoothly, and now i'm just waiting for surgery! my pre op diet has been alright, i've been wavering on it lately...still have maintained my 260lb weight. need to up my protein!!

update after surgery!!

Had my two evaluations. Psyche eval went perfectly, and my nutrition appointment went great. Am now on  pre op diet..4 weeks til surgery! (protein shake in morning, sensible meal at lunch, protein shake for dinner) From 275 to 260! WOO HOO!! i'm doing great, so excited still!

September 8th-  Nutritionist

September 23- Nutrition Pre Op Teaching

September 24- DVT/Carotid Ultrasound

October 1- Pre Op W/ Dr Strickland

October 7th- SURGERY DAY!

This will fly by quickly! Meanwhile I'm down 9lbs on self imposed pre-pre op diet.

Today was my surgeon's consult with Dr. Strickland. He was very enthusiastic about me, thought i was ideal for the lapband. I paid in full, (self pay) and got my surgery date the same day. I have six weeks to get all my evals, nuts, appts done and over with!

I HAVE MY SURGERY DATE!    HOORAH!!

six weeks away! i can't believe this is happening so fast!

yay! yesterday was my Seminar with Dr. Glen Strickland. I finally feel as if it's finally real. I'm 265lbs right now and can't wait for a happier, more energetic me!

I have no comorbitities, but this is partially preventative medicine for me! I know I'm on the right path (w/o surgery) for some serious health problems.

Just waiting for my call to schedule my surgeon consult!! I'll post some official before pics as well.

I'm a 20 year old single student. I have been set on the lapband for about a year. I've finally made progress towards this goal, and am attending my appt with Dr Strickland of Lexington Obesity Center the 4th of August :)
