Just remember, you didn't put on the weight quickly, like most of us, it took years. It will come off eventually. Give it time. Your not so great angel........Dawn

Hi CJF, My doctor's instructions were.... the first 4 weeks are about healing, not about weight loss. Now I know that's easy to say, because you're not hungry and you're not eating and you want to see those pounds drop off! But everyone's body reacts differently to trauma, and for right now please just worry about following your doctor's protocol and healing. The pounds will come off! Best of luck to you.

Glad to hear that you are feeling a little better. Beleive me you will forget the pain and enjoy the ride soon. I remember I thought I was going to die from the pain the first couple of days but as everyone sas...it gets better every day. Especially a day that the scale goes down instead of up. ha ha ha.

To Vince-Emmy-Dawn. You are all wonderful angels while I was in the hospital. Keeping my page updated and updates for those who wanted to know. For those of you who have not had the chance to be an angel, remember this 22nd is Official be an Angel day. Not for just this site but internationally. So try to be one if you can. Otherwise, just give them a post when you can. Each one helps.

1st of all, thank you for all your posts to my surgery page over the past week for my surgery. It has helped me alot. I've replied to some of you but not a chance to all. So don't think I didn't get it or forgot about you just sore. This is the 1st day I have felt well enough to sit in this chair and be able to post. I had surgery on the 13th and am feeling the pain, but it's not as bad as I expected. This is one pain I know I will soon forget, but not the experience. I've been able to handle the pureed meals as of this time. I can tolerater 2 ounces of pureed at this time. I have already lost 8 lbs post op. I figured there would be a regular 10# or so of the hospital weight. I had some nausea the 1st 3 day after but that was from the pain meds. To counteract that I was given ofcourse anti-nausea meds. Which in turn gave me a headache. The pump was removed and I started to feel great! For the past month I had been so nauseated That it feels so good not to be. So foods are liking me so far. I'm hoping not all of them do. I have for the 1st day gotten in all my protein, and water! This site has been so helpful and momma, I don't know how you did it getting right out of the hospital and jumping right back in. Thank you and for those of you who are fellow losers I hope your reaching goals. Those of you about to go thru surgery, I'm right there with you. For those of you who are just getting started, do your research and listen to you rDrs. and supportgroups. They know best. Highest weight-284# Presurgery weight-264(following post surgery diet) Present weight-256# So far total loss-19#

Well, CJF is home and has been home since Sunday afternoon - Which means I didn't get to spend the night, but that's fine. At least she's safe and doing well. She's much more energetic and ended up getting up at about 2:30am yesterday with me and we decided to watch Final Destination 2. :) That must be a good sign. Well just thought I would update you all. Luck be a lady!
