Well, my story probably isn't much different than a lot of peoples. But here goes....
I have been overweight most of my entire life, I can't remember the last time that I weighed anywhere in the 100's, maybe in elementary school.....

I tried all of the diet programs they had going at the time, Nutri-System, Weight Watchers, Susan Powter, Richard Simmons, liquid diets, Slim Fast , you name it I probably tried it. Somtimes I would lose some weight but then I would end up gaining it back and then some.

I ended up having two wonderful girls, one in 1992 and the other in 1994 and after that my weight just seemed to spiral out of control. I tried to just push it out of my mind and keep moving.

As the years went on, it started catching up with me. High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, degenerative arthritis, diabetes and a fear of going out into public. I felt bad because my girls were always wanting to go places and do things and I either just didn't have the energy or didn't want to go out in to public. When I did go out, I felt like I was sitting on the sidelines and just watching, it was depressing, it seemed like my girls were growing up and I was missing out on a lot of their lives.

They are now 14 and 16 and I decided that enough time has gone by just sitting there and not doing anything about it, so I went to a surgeon in Louisville Kentucky and started the process for the Gastric Bypass (RNY).  I started the process in June of this year and was approved in October. My surgery date is December 2.

I think that I.....no I KNOW that I will be successful and I am ready to make the changes in my life to use this wonderful tool that I will be given.
