"After just having had my first consultation with Dr. Kim I can say that she is courteous, professional and knowledgeable. During our consultation she took the time to explain the surgery step-by-step as she created a drawing that showed both the post-op anatomy and how the digestive system would function following the surgery. She presented me with the risks and statistics regarding the surgery as well as her personal patient statistics regarding her number of surgeries performed and the rate of complications (which according to additional research I have conducted is very low on a national average). Based upon this meeting, I believe that Dr. Kim has an appropriate balance of both technical knowledge and experience along with empathy and patient communication skills, which is often a rare combination in healthcare clinicians.
