I just wanted to ad to my profile a few things. I started out at 252lbs and I am 5'6". Right now I am 6.5 weeks post op and I am down to 209lbs. (the day of surgery I weighed 247) I am still very happy that I ended up going with Dr Warnock of Wichita Falls, TX. Whenever I have called for him, he ALWAYS acts like I am his only patient and answers all of my questions. As far as I am concerned many doctors need to take lessons from his bedside manner. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone. Thanks Dr Warnock for being the best YOU that you are.

Hi Amos, I just wanted to update my profile. I am a little over 6 weeks post op and I have lost 40lbs. WOOO HOOOO!!! I am now wearing a size 18 dress pant and 20 jeans, my tops and sweaters are all either Large or XLarge...No more PLUS SIZE!!! I found a protein drink that I like. It is called Scitec Nutrition Protein Delite, I get the Vanilla Barry flavor (it has dried, real fruit in it) I ad a half a banana to it and 8 oz of skim milk...I can drink one or two of these a day. I also am taking my vitamins and calcium daily. I have found that by getting in all of those things that I have more energy than I did have. Although, I have to say that food is boring to me now. I don't know why, but I don't even like to go out to eat anymore. I would love to get ahold of some good recipes for us WLS people. My prayers are with those of you that are having surgery this week.

Hi AMOS!!! I am home. We flew in lastnight from TX. I am BEAT!!! I am doing well, surgery was on the 30th and I have had no problems. I am very weak still...not sure how long that is going to last. I have lost 24lbs in 14 days. WHOOO HOOO!!! I like being a loser.

CLAIRE-Well, I figured since I bugged the HECK out of everybody else to sign, I better not forget myself to sign- which I HAVE done before!! It has been both my pleasure and my honor becoming your friend and having you as my little angellette!! I am sooooooo excited about this journey which you have embarked upon. I know the hoops that you have jumped throgh just to get to this point today and you will do great!! Just follow your docs orders and get you water, walking, and protein in!! When you need extra moral support- just come to chat. But, you always know- I am here for you if you need me- only a phone call or an IM away!! I can't wait to see what a HUGE looser you become!! Claire!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am SOOooo happy that things went off without a hitch!! I was so nervous when Patti called me after the Pulmonologist weigh in thing!!! Please drop me a line when you have time. Hi Claire, I just read from your angel that your surgery went well! Praise the Lord! Congratulations on being a loser! My surgery is next week, it's so hard to believe it will really happen.
