Cindy - I'm 7 weeks out and still can't eat chicken, beef, pasta or breads. I tried Sugar Free Tang and it is wonderful! I also drink Sugar Free Vanilla Latte's made with skim milk at Starbucks. I love trying new things. I too, get tired of Crystal Lite and Tea.

Hi Cindy, I just read your post and I thought boy that sounds like me... and our dates are only a day apart..... I was gagging on my protein drink.. so I went shopping to a health food store...I found some Isopure that tastes great.. the one I like was a grape flavor... but you can order them on the internet too... the WLS site ... I tried a sample of the peanut butter cookie.. WOW it was very very good.. spendy but good.... I hope that helps a little... also I found that a little peanutbutter on saltines (2) went down just fine... and that has great protein .. take care... and good luck to you ... Karen

I STILL AM HAVING NASEAU AFTER EATING. I AM HAVING A HARD TIME WITH PROTEINS, BECAUSE I'M BURNED OUT ON PROTEIN DRINKS. OTHER THAN THAT I AM DOING FAIRLY WELL NOT AS GOOD AS I WOULD LIKE TO BE DOING AT 2 MOS.

Hi Cindy, Gosh!!!! As with anyother surgery the first week or so is the roughes, I should know I've had eight in my life time...lol. None WLS related. I know it's tough but believe me...if you're used to being an active person...the worsed is yet to come. The part that I always hated was when I would start to feel better but new I still had to take it easy. I would go stir crazy. Make sure that if you're left alone you're left with things to do...or like me...you'll tend to over do.lol I pray for a speedy recovery for you. ~God Bless~

Cindy: Congrats on being on the 'losing' side...:) It does get better every day. There will come a point (shortly) where you really do not remember vididly all that you went thru, sure if you think hard enough many menories will come back, but all in all time you will be very glad you did it! Keep up the great work! Hugs, MJ (6/25/02 310/184/150, BR 4/01, TT next..lol)
