After Surgery

Aug 14, 2022

My surgery was July 19,2022. Leading up to that day, l had appointments with doctor, psychologist, nutritionist, dietician, fitness and it was worth it. It gave me time to think and ask questions about the sugery. Dr. Baranov goes over everything that's going to happen day of surgery and answes all questions you have.

There was some prep the morning of surgery,ie: intake, iv, paperwork. Then once the anesthesia took over l didn't know or feel anything until l woke up in my hospital bed. I felt tired. My stomach felt sore like l had done a thousand sit ups, but it was bearable. The worst part for me was the gas/bloating. That was the most uncomfortable. Feels like you over stuffed yourself at Thanksgiving dinner. Getting up and walking really does help with that! Once the gas started working it's way out, i really had no complaints. The staff was on point throughout the night checking on my vitals, giving my meds, attentive to anything I needed.

l was released after 24 hours. I would say my experience went well. My weighloss started immediately. Dr. Baranov and his staff were caring, attentive, and thorough before, during and after my surgery. Now all l have to do is follow the doctor's plan and watch my new life begin!
