Well lets start at the very beginning. When I was born I weighed 5 lbs 11 oz. I was full term I was just a small baby. As I was growing up I got tonsilitis all the time and could not really eat. But I stayed thin. When I was 7 the Dr. took them out and I started gaining weight. Not alot at the time. Then by the time I was 13 I weighed 147 and still was able to wear a bikini I got top heavy. I started gaining weight after that and by the time I was 18 I weighed 232 lbs. I got married and gained more and more all the way up to 308 lbs. I was not happy thru most of my years trying to cover up my pain so I would eat. It showed. I ended up getting divorced and lost some weight. I got married again and had my two kids and gained weight. I was in a bad marriage so I got another divorce. Then I went several years and ended up getting married a third time. I guess I did not learn I ended up gaining weight again. Every time I got married each husband was thin and could eat anything and not gain weight. I eat it and gain weight.

I tried all the diets in the book to lose some then gain it back plus. I got tired of the yo yo diet trap.

Back in 2002 I heard about the lap band WLS and checked it out and said no I can lose this weight on my own all I have to do is watch what I eat and exercise. Sure, again it did not work. So I started looking into surgery again and have researched and researched all the different types. I had finally decided on the RNY. Then the more I read I changed my mind and decided to get the DS. Now I find out that the surgeon in my area that accepts my insurance does not do the DS, so I guess I will be having the RNY which is alright. I know alot of people that have had it and have done fantastic with it. I just have to make some changes in my eating habbits, the main thing is drinking with my meals. I have a hard time swallowing sometimes so I have to wash it down.

I was recently diagnosed with Diabetes type II, High Blood Pressure, High Cholestrol, and Hypothyroidism. I am having a tough time getting my numbers under control. It does not matter what I eat I can go over my carbs limit and have a good reading, I can go under my limit and have a good reading then I can go over or under and have a bad reading, as of yet my numbers are not where they should be they still have been either a little high or alot high. I can hardly wait to have this surgery to get rid of these problems. I am also hoping that it will help with my lower back multi-level degenerative disk disease with nerve root damage, and help with my arthritis.

Now you may ask why I have an indian pic for my avitar. I have it because I am 1/2 Native American, I am Cherokee (The Eastern Band) I am Sioux, and Blackfoot, I am also 1/2 white. The only thing I know how to cook is indian tacos (frybread) and having this surgery I may not be able to eat then again because of the carbs.
