Day 10: Grocery Store Experience with Family
Jul 23, 2010
I have been out shopping for today, but that was for me for little items like soup, ice pops, strawberry boost; thngs like that. This time was truely different watching my husband shop for the family. It was a complete bore. All i got was icepops did not even really want to pay or contribute to the food. I had to stop pray, go read a magazine or something. I was already feeling all kinds of emotional. I realized how deep my attachment to food really was; however, that stage is gone now! Guess, I better find some posititive way to occupy my time instead of wondering how something tastes. Not hungry though guess it is just habit! It will get better I know.
Glad for the little things!

Hello everyone! Well my journey of Boost, Broth, Juice(diluted of course) and Icepops have began. I arrived at Durham Regional Hospital on Weds. July 14th at 7:45am. By about 9:30am I was being driven to anesthia, the room looked like ER then in a matter of minutes it seemed like everything went in to a dream. Next, thing I new they were saying"Great Job!" your surgery has been a success and we will be taking you to your room now! I was like thank God made it! I went home the very next day..Some how I expected longer though.
The days after included sleep, meds, and more sleep and drinking....Did absolutely nothing.
Day 4 pre-op must take some photos as I will NEVER have this moment back again! My husband and dad wanted to know how much I have lost so I got on the scale for them. 13lbs exactly I think that is practical considering what I have been eating. (LOL) Walking more enjoying my oxycodone and icepops....Still sore of course. I told my parents I feel like I just gave birth to about 8 babies at once LOL...But, it is all good and I know it will get better and better with time.
