I had gestational diabetes in 1996 that never went away. I wound up needing insulin to control my diabetes even though I am a Type II Diabetic. For those of you who know how insulin works, it makes it very hard to lose weight. Last year I decided to go on the Insulin Pump because I was tired of being a needle cushion. However, it seemed to make it even more hard to keep my weight down. Even with the pump I have had a hard time to control my blood sugars. I know if I don't do something now, I will be in trouble as time goes on. That's the main reason why I am having RNY on Monday, April 16, 2007. Godwilling, I want to be around when my daughter grows up and I also want to have many years with my husband. Once I get my weight down I know I won't mind working out. I used to love working out but with the extra weight on, I am usually too tired to exercise.
