hello all my friends i am updating my profile finally i have been a member of obesityhelp for a few years and love this website i rememeber when i first came across it just searching the web it was the best thing i have ever done it made my decsion alot easier about about gastric bypass surgery. when i originally started my research on this surgery i weighed about 344lbs and continuously getting bigger.i had moved from colorado to california and i started working for kaiser permanente and i was concerned about how i was going to pay for my surgery.i was so lucky that i had worked there because they actually offered a program for overweight individuals that involoved gastric bypass.depending on where we lived and how much we weighed depended on what type of surgery we recieved an luckly i recieved the gold standard(open rny) i was so happy i cried for days.because i felt that everything that i experienced that was bad because i was over weight was about to end.people would not mistreat me anymore,i would not have to be nice to everyone so they would not call me fat a burden would be lifted.the day that i was scheduled for my surgery i was nervous and scared.but me and my family had said prayers all the time if this is what god wants for me it will happen and there will be success!!! and there was.after surgery i was only in the hospital fo 3 days i recovered quickly.and because i was an employee of kaiser i did not pay a thing for my surgery the only thing that i paid for was 5$ copys for follow up visits ad my pain medications, i could not ask god for anything else,but i did. in one month i lost 50lbs and i kept losing and eventually i lost 135lbs and my goal weight is 175-180.so i have about 20-30lbs to go. so 2 yrs later at 208 i finally had a tummy tuck april,2006 and i just recently had an inner thigh lift on nov,24 so i am still healing from that there are so many goals that i have accomplished.and one would be my support group that i am so excited about and thanks to obesityhelp i had my aricle published in OHmagazine in regards to the support group so everything is going well as of nov,29,2006
