New Year, New Me...

Dec 31, 2009

It's been almost 10 months since my RNY. I am down 142 pounds and 7 pounds from my goal of 165. It's been such a roller coaster ride. Shopping is so much fun. I bought a pair of size 10 jeans for myself for Christmas and they fit great. I've moved from a large in tops and bottoms to a medium recently which is so unexpected and overwhelming. I guess I will be cleaning out my closet again soon. I don't know what I am going to do with all the clothes. I can and do eat most anything now. I still stay away from breads, rice, and pasta since they are my trigger foods. I like desserts but I make sure an buy the no sugar added versions of everything but I sample the real stuff every now and then. I always try and get all my protein in first and then add the other stuff throughout the day. I went back to the doc a couple of days ago with chest pain. He thinks its an ulcer and gave me some meds. They seem to be working. My life is great for the most part. I am so active now and am able to get my housework done on a regular basis. I can actually kneel on the benches at mass without having to take a break or sit. I transferred my food addiction to shopping and reading. the reading is fine but I need to get a handle on the shopping. I'm more and more grateful everyday for my RNY.
