Hello Everyone!
Let's see now, where to start with my story. Well, I'm 44 years old, soon to turn 45 in a couple of months time. I work writing and producing television commercials for CTV in North Bay, where I was born and raised. It's fun work and I get to work with whacky, nutty people every day, which makes life interesting for sure.
Most of my family still lives here... my parents Anne and George, as well as my two odler sisters Carole Anne and Cynthia. My older brother (yes, I'm the baby) lives in Oakville with his family.
I'm a certifiable movie nut but I prefer to watch from the comfort of my own living room that squished into a theatre chair with 2 or 3 hundred other noisy people and bad sound quality.
I have a beautiful little girl named B'Lanna. She's the prettiest 4-legged, furry beast you've ever seen... the best cat a girl could hope for.
I was married for about 11 years and got divorced in 2000. My ex-husband and I are best friends and enjoyed a freakishly amicable split. I live in the same apartment building as his parents and I visit them once or twice a week for tea or dinner. Friends just shake their heads... We even still exchange birthday and Christmas gifts and, when his parents are at home for the Holidays, I join them for Christmas morning before heading over to my folks' place.
I was a scrawny kid but my mother swears my weight issues started when the doctor put me on medication for some sort of bladder issue... Then I hit an early puberty and the rest is weight gain history. Nothing's worked for me, at least not with any degree of permanence. I've been contemplating this surgery for about 5 years now but all the procrastinating has done is add more girth to me. Now I have terrible blood pressure issues, deteriorating joints, major depression, edema and a bunch of other stuff I can't even remember right now...
I'm still waiting out the approval process right now but hope to get my answer sometime next week... Wish me luck! I'm thrilled to have found this website... Everyone's fantastic!!!
