 I'm down 23 lbs. I've been slow but steady. I've also just had a total abdominal hysterectomy 5 weeks ago and am on the road to recovery. Happy I chose the band and the hyster!

 Well, I did it, I got through my first real holiday with my lapband. It wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. I ate about 1/4 of what I would have normally eaten and felt full and satiated. I even had some appetizers and a tiny piece of apple pie. Of course, I haven't had my first fill yet so not very much restriction, but still noticed a full sensation. Hopefully I'm on my way.

 When will the gas pains go away? Every time I drink something, my tummy hurts and I start burping big time. It's pissing me off. Plus I'm hungry.

 Hi all,
Well today I squished up cottage cheese, added a little salt and pepper and indulged. Oh how delightful it tasted. Weird I know, but to eat real food 6 days post-op was fantastic.  I can't wait to try more squishy foods

 Well, it been 3 days since my surgery and I'm feeling better everyday. The gas is annoying, but bearable. I have "head" hunger but I just keep sipping away. Had a yummy protein shake today and a cup of Trader Joes Sweet tomato bisque soup. It was lovely and hit the spot. Still bloated and full of fluids so no weight loss yet, but I know it's coming and i just can't wait.

 Well, I'm new to the site and have all kinds of questions. Should I do it or just wait to die of all my yucky issues? PCOS, Severe Sleep Apnea, Asthma, Hypothyroid only to name a few. BMI is 42.3 and getting bigger every month. Can't really excercise due to severe hip/sciatic/back pain which of course is related to my whopping 239 lb body. Does anyone have any good advice, please.
