Presbyterian Hospital of Denton

"My general overall experience was excellent except for two thing. One was the day after my surgery and group of high school health career students came into my room One student had a head cold and stood there at the end of my bed coughing his head off. They were in my room such a short time that I didn't have a chance to say anything to the instructor. As a result I got very sick with whatever he had and ended up having to be transferred to a rehab hospital in order to get my health and strength back. The second situation was with the one stupid desk clerk not informing my nurse I needed pain meds. I went for seven hours one day waiting for the medication even though I had rung the bell for the nurse several times. The dumb clerk always answered it and then never told my nurse I had to have my medication. When I told Dr Mosier's patient coordinator both she and the doctor got in touch with the director of nursing for that floor and that ward clerk got in deep doo doo. Other than those to situations I really like this hospital."

Curtis Mosier

"Dr Mosier is a very good doctor. He doesn't like this stuff of having to make patients go through six months of documented weight loss. He did have me go through testing, like making sure I was healthy enough to go through the surgery and a psychological test. He also had a cardiologist check me out and make sure my heart was in good shape.rnrnDr Mosier patient rep, Judy Spira, is the best there is. She is wonderful. While I was in the hospital I became very sick with a flu bug and had trouble getting the desk clerk to tell my nurse I needed my medications. I had to wait 7 hours for pain meds one day. I talked to Judy about it and begged her to get in touch with Dr Mosier. rnrnI wrote out everything that had gone on and sent it over to the hospital. I had to go to a rehab hospital after the surgery because I was so sick.rnrnWhen I told Judy about it she basically hit the roof. Both her and Dr. Mosier got in touch with the director of nursing for the surgery floor and all three of them worked together to deal with the errant clerk.rnrnDr Mosier and Judy are very supportive of their patients."
