I'm HOOOOMMMEEE! YIPPEE. Surgery was 9/19/02, lap RNY at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. Took about 3+ hours, due to previous adhesions. Surgery was fine. Northside is very prepared for bariatric patients. I came home 9/21. Thank you to everyone who called me at the hospital and at home. Now, just trying to figure out liquid diet and variations of that. Any ideas? Please email me. But I'm so swollen!!! Any ideas on that? I mean, swollen from my face to my toes. How long does that last? You guys are agreat and it's good to be on the other side. Take care.

Mary is doing fine and is on the 'other side' tonight. She is tired and a little uncomfortable but is looking forward to her leak test in the morning so she can take care of the dry mouth she has. I'm so glad to know you're doing good and am anxious to see you again. Take care and enjoy your new life.

Mary, Oprah was okay yesterday. The issue with the woman who had weight loss surgery was that her husband did not want anything to do with her when she was 400 pounds and was condescending towards her and basically made her feel like she was worthless. Now that she has lost it all, he is all over her to have sex and be romantic and she is asking why he is paying so much attention to her now. She says that she has not changed inside and she is having a hard time dealing with his pawing all over her now. I think that he has a lot of making amends to do before he gets that intimate with her again. I hope that he follows through with what Dr. Phil said to him. But she looked great and had some great points.
