I had my tubes tied in 1999 after having a girl and a boy – divorced from my first husband in 2001 and remarried in 2003, to a wonderful, caring husband and father. In 2004, I gave birth to our miracle twins, which were conceived through IVF (invetro fertilization). Considering I gained 75 pounds in my first pregnancy in 1996 and lost it. Gained 50 pounds in 1999 with my second pregnancy and lost it. I thought for sure, I would be able to lose the 25 pounds I gained while on the meds and shots to get pregnant, plus the 45 pounds I gained while pregnant with my twins. Boy was I wrong. Not only have I not lost the weight, I have actually gained 20 pounds since having a complete hysterectomy in 2006. I am the heaviest I have ever been – after three pregnancies. And I hated it. I could no longer get outside and play with my children. Exercise was painful, due to the extra weight. Buying clothes was embarrassing and I was doing it more and more, to buy a bigger size. And I am ready to make that change in my life and for my family.
