Update 4/10/2009

Apr 09, 2009

Well, I am not quite 7 months post-op, will be next Wednesday.  This last month has been very hard for me.  I have been stuggling with not seeing the scales move, or when I do see them move, they move up 2 or 3 lbs.  But I have been diligent about going to the gym 4 to 5 times a week, so I have seen a change in pants sizes - which is a great feeling.

I was even approached by 3 - (yes I said three) people at the gym yesterday, all commenting on my weight loss (if they only knew I wasn't losing eweight, but toning and building muscle).  So that was a big WOW for me.

I have bought two size 10 jeans in the last month.  Which it wonderful....

I just have to find that happy place for me and my body - to know how much I need to each, to stay healthy and not have my body think I am in starvation mode so I just creep along at this lose 1 lb a month thing - cuz that is going to drive me batty :)

Still loving the RNY - wouldn't change it for the world.  I had hoped to be one of those great losers who could say they lost 100 lbs by 8 months.  Since, I am only down 85 lbs and am almost 7 months post op - I don't see that happening.  But - as long as I am doing this right - I can be patient.  That 100 lbs will come off, in time.
