I have been overweight for as long as I can remember, I remember dreading the swimming part of my P.E. class in school, I hated having to wear a swimsuit in front of the skinny girls, oh and the boys, I was horrified, but I made it through school, During my Senior year in high school I met my highschool sweetheart, I was totally in love with him, he asked me to marry him and of course I said yes, we was going to have kids and everything was going to be perfect. But then life happend, we tried for many years to get pregnant, and so we started the journey of fertility treatments, which took a toll on our marriage, wanting a baby consumed my life, not having answers, I was gaining alot of weight..... something was wrong.....so in 2001 I was diagnosed with PCOS, why it had to happen to me, I dont know, but I was always told that God never gives us more than we can handle, I hoped that was true......
Well my marriage ended in 2004, In 2005 I met the man that God intended for me...and we got married in 2007 He has been amazing through all of my struggles, I went from not having any kids to having 4 very wonderful step kids that I adore and think of as my own, they are all truely a blessing.... but even in all my happiness, my weight has continued to go up, I didnt realize It was this bad,,,,,I guess I was in denial, but my step kids lost there real mom in a car accident a year ago, and It hit me that oh my gosh......Im the only mom these kids have left.... I want to watch them grow up, I want to watch them get married, and I want to be able to hold my grandchildren one day, I want to grow old with my husband, I want to live............................ So after alot of research and videos, I made a decision to have gastric bypass... My husband and kids have supported my decision 100% and thats important and im lucky and thankful for all of them.... now Im ready to start this new chapter in my life........
