Final weigh in

July 1st was my final weigh in. My PCP faxed my paper work to the office and it was filed with the insurance company. I did not expect to hear anything unitl after the holiday weekend. Well, July 2, I got the call that I had been approved!!!! Icould not believe that! But was very excited!!! My surgery is scheduled for July 17th, if the EGD is neg...I am dreading having that done! But looking forward to the future of not hurting!
July this year is big. My little girl turns 5 on July 15th and my surgery is the 17th.....excited!!!

One More Weigh In.....

July 1, 2009 will be my last weigh in before being submitted for approval. I am so excited! I have only lost 10 pounds but hey its a loss and I will take it. The past few months have been hard! I have lost some then I would gain a pound or two.
I hope it doesn't take the insurance long to approve me....I want to have it done b4 my daughter starts kindergarden!
I guess thats my update for now.......

My Conference

On Dec. 29, 2008 I went to the conference for the lap band and gastric bypass. I went with the intention of going thru with the lap band, however, I have now decided gastric bypass is what I need. I know its more drastic but I think its my best choice.
My insurance requires 6 months of Dr. supervised diet and exercise, so once again I am dieting......
I will post more of my personal journey as things happen.
