well i've been a member so long  that i lost all my informatin when i had to convert to the "New" system..oh well

i started this journey march 2006 with cleveland clinic and lapband surgery, now it is august 2007 and i'm with st vincent's and i'm having bypass (this is the first time i written this change down) anyways it is long boring story, but the bottom line is that my insurance bcbs of illinois required that i go on a medical supervised program for 12 months before they would consider covering my surgery.  obivoulsy i did that and they actually then said yes! i was shocked. then in the course of learnging more and the high stastics that i'll get off that table a non diabetic (with bypass) has swayed me to this surgery. so here i am 17 months later and ready to deal with this...well almost ready.

so my story is that i've been pretty much over weight all my life, except those junior high/high school years where i ate nothing.  then off to college, marriage and babies and the weight just kept pounding on.  i have no excuse, as i've said many of times, i didn't get this way by overeating my greenbeans!
