I can kneel!

Oct 22, 2007

Just an update.  My daughter and I started back to church last Sunday.  There is a temporary Pastor there now and that is a good thing as I didn't like the previous Pastor.  He rushed through the service and seemed uptight. We took communion yesterday.  I was really scared that my knee's would hurt and or I wouldn't be able to get back up easily after.  I had no hurt while kneeling, and no problems getting back up!  This is sooooo awesome!  Woooohoooo!  It's so wonderful to have my life back, slow as I think it is!  I am truly greatful for all of this good that is going on in my life now!  I have to alter my pants again, as I've lost a lot more weight (if not weight, a lot more in inches!) Remember, this is NOT a complaint lol!  I am looking forward to being able to shop in REGULAR stores for my clothes!  I am going to save money on shipping and handling. I have been in the mood for baking, and made banana bread the other day.  I have to freeze most of it, as my daughter and I can't eat it all and I am not going to eat it often.  (again not a complaint!)  I am going to be baking and cooking a lot for Christmas, but I have a friend that will appreciate the xtra that we can't eat.  She can always take it to work and share with them or her husband . Good luck and God Bless everyone!

New cup size!

Oct 05, 2007

Just an update.  I tried on a smaller cup size bra today and it fit!  Wooohooo!!!   This is so totally exciting I can't believe it!  I used to be a 50G and now am a 46F.  This is awesome!  God bless everyone!  Where are the updates on everyone?  Please let me know how things are going with you!

FINALLY!!!!! YEAH!!!! WOOOOHOOOO!!!!

Sep 27, 2007

FINALLY OMG I went to my 6 month post op yesterday at my surgeon's office and I FINALLY hit the 100 lb loss mark!  I actually hit OVER that, but I'm just so thrilled to have finally lost 100 lbs!  The actual weight to date is 110 lbs, with 22 of that being since August 17.  Can you belive that?    My nutritionist was so impressed and proud (as was I).  I can't wait for my next 110 lb loss!  WOOOOHOOO GO ME GO ME!  lol  God bless everyone!

Update

Sep 19, 2007

Hey ya'll...had a GREAT time at the seminar once we found it!  We got totally lost and an hour drive turned into 3 hours.  I was so pissed at that, but calmed down once we did find it.  I met Amy briefly and she's so sweet!  I missed a major talk I wanted to hear, but enjoyed the rest.  Learned some things and will retain that knowledge...I did take pics last month I believe, but I have yet to post them...Sorry I've been busy...my daughter and I go and play frisbee in the park every Sunday and that gives me some great exercise because she doesn't throw the greatest so I end up bending over a lot LOL...oh well, main thing is  we have fun!  I have my 6 month post op on the 26th and I am so PRAYING that I have finally hit my 100 lb loss mark.  I was so close in August...PRAY that I have or I will be horribly disappointed as I've noticed such a huge inch loss that I am ready to drop another shirt and pant size!  That will make me down 4 shirt sizes and 3 pant sizes!  WOOOOOHOOOOOOOO baby!!!  It appears my hair loss has FINALLY slowed, thank God!  I can already feel re-growth as about 4 weeks ago I started taking some biotin...2 capsules a day...I am also thanking God that I had super thick hair, so the loss only thinned my hair out, which was ok because it was during the summer (August which was a super hot month)...I still cried a lot and freaked a lot though...but I am ok now...I kept thinking "dang there was only about 3 days in the first 2 months I didn't make my 70 grams of protein WHY is my hair falling out?"  Then I remembered it just happens with some....guess I was the "lucky some."  LOL...Well, sorry this update is so short...hope everyone is doing well and thank you for all your updates!  Keep in touch, keep me posted on further progress, and God Bless!

More loss!

Aug 19, 2007

Just a quick update...I went to my pcp for lab work on the 17th (this past friday) and low and behold, I've lost another 8 lbs!    Now total weight loss is 88.5 lbs in 4  1/2 months!  Awesome!  Oh, and I also asked him what iron I could take since it seems in my family we can't take it.  He asked me why I wanted to take iron, I told him my nutritionist told me back in May? that my iron was a little low and I should take some iron.  He told me that when we last did my labs, my iron levels were fine and there was no need to bother with taking iron! I about kissed his hand as that's one less pill I have to take!  Yeah baby!!!!  Hope everyone (like us here in Georgia) are able to stand this 3 week heat (heat index's have been about 104 every single day)we've had and I pray it cools off even more this week!  Well, I'm busy tonight, so gotta go.  I should be able to get some updated pics taken/loaded onto my profile this week as there is no running errands this week WHEW!  Hope everyone is doing fine and enjoying life!  God Bless!

Yayyyy weighed today!

Aug 01, 2007

Well, I went to the clinic here in town to see if I could weigh myself and there IS one of the doctors that has a digital scale that goes up to 440 lbs, so I got on it, and I've lost another 14 lbs!  That makes it a grand total of 80 lbs lost in 4 months.  Stil not my 100 lb loss I wanted by now, but close.  I just can't seem to get my weight to disappear faster.  Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I know I need to stop whining and I do know I've lost more inches.  I want to get OUT of the 400's!  My daughter came home Monday and it appears she has gained almost 30 lbs in just 2 months dang my ex and his girlfriend UGH!  Thank God I stayed on her about doing crunches and tae bo otherwise she would have put on even MORE weight.  So I am going to work hard within this month to get her weight down to where it should be. Come to find out her doctor has also had gastric bypass last year, and is now 6-7 lbs under what she should actually weigh.  So she had no doubt that I would make sure my daughter looses her excess weight.  I am also keeping my daughter on a strict diet of back to ONLY eating the serving size on the labels.  She kinda looked at me, but knew it was worthless to fight LOL. I also only allow her candy (SERVING SIZE ONLY) after only ONE meal not both lunch and dinner.  I have plenty of fruit in the house she can have that after the other meal.  Well I hope everyone is doing well and I will try to post more pictures soon now that my daughter is home.  It's so much easier if she takes the pics LOL...God Bless everyone and keep the updates coming!  Ya'll are in my prayers!

More inch loss...

Jul 28, 2007

Just have to let ya'll know, I put on some clothes that were a bit small before but now are super loose on me!  I can tell I've lost a lot more inches! WOOOOHOOOO!  I did finally order a smaller bra (band wise but same cup size, next time will have to be cup size as well ) yesterday and today will alter my current one (band size).  This is awesome!  I can even tell I've lost inches in my hips, thighs and butt which I've been told is where most women hold their weight!  OH MY I'M SO HAPPY!  I was so scared I had plateau'ed, but if I did, it was only for a short time and I am back to losing again!  I am hoping that since I have to go to the Atlanta airport to pick up my daughter TOMOROW (Yaaaaaayyyyyy!!!) we will be close to my surgeon's office so we could always swing by there so I can be weighed.  Keep your fingers crossed that we can do that--her plane isn't supposed to land in Atlanta until 3:25 p.m.  If there are no delays we should be able to run up to my surgeon's office.  I can't wait!  I'm so excited!  I can't believe I hit my 4 month mark yesterday.  It seems like so long ago that I had the surgery, and it has forever changed my life.  This summer, even with the heat, I show very little signs of my old idiopathic edema (only one place on my body, my right ankle and that only swells up a little bit close to my period and is very tolerable).  I can wear all my rings again, I can give myself pedicures and do my toenails to match my fingernails, I have met my goal of being able to walk more than a few steps without getting out of breath, I don't sweat as badly as I did before (even when it's super humid), and I'm looking forward to going more places and doing more physical things with my daughter!  Everyone please continue to keep me updated on your progress and God Bless!!!!!!

Just an update....

Jul 21, 2007

Hey everyone!  Sorry it's been sooooo long since my last update.  Just been busy.  I haven't been able to weigh myself as of lately, but I am still working on it!  Hopefully soon.  I'm keeping up with my tae bo, however I've kicked it back to only 3 times a week with some walking added in.  I can tell I've lost more inches Yayyyy!!!  I still have some clothes to alter lol but am so loving it!  I will have to break down and buy a smaller bra here in the next couple weeks as well, even though this one I have is only about a month old LOL.  That's NOT a complaint ya'll!  I'm loving it!  My daughter returns in 9 days and I'm looking forward to that and getting the walking (exercise) to pick her up at the Atlanta airport!  Thanx to all that are keeping me updated on surgery dates and their progresses!  God bless everyone!

3 month post op

Jun 27, 2007

Well, for my 3 month post op weight, I am down a total of 66.5 lbs.  Not as close to 100 lb goal as I had wanted.   But I am going to give up the stupid pounds goals as I see more loss with inches.  That's what I've always gone by (even before surgery) and that's what I'm going back to.  It's a disappointment I will have to deal with and I can, but to have only lost 19.5  lbs in 2 months is quite discouraging especially after working my butt off doing tae bo almost every night and eating/drinking only the things I should. I really don't have much choice about not monitoring the pounds anyway, I am still too heavy for "regular" scales, and there are no larger scales here in town, nor can I afford to buy any or go out of town to weigh myself.  So...back to just saying "I have no clue" when asked how much weight I've lost. Well that's the news for now...not what I wished I could have written, but it's an update.  God Bless everyone!
