I am 8 weeks POST OP today I am down 37lbs. as of this morning and I feel great - I am 2lbs. away from weighing what I did when I came home with my son 8 1/2 years ago LOL. My family has noticed a change in my body - of course I have a problem with my husband grabbing at me and telling me I look great , I have to make myself understand he does probably mean it- I have not tried on smaller clothes even though my ones I was wearing are too lose - but I have pulled out older clothes that I fugured had shrunk from me drying EVERYTHING and they do fit very comfortable so that does make up for having to go out and buy new clothes- I DON'T have to right now- I want to save the money and have a WONDERFUL SHOPPING SPREE---- and yes they did shrink but it didn't help any by growing out of them - I was wearing a 26 inmost of my pants and enjoyed my shirts big so I always made sure I had a 3x and somtimes if it was a knit shirt I would by the 30/32 at Walmart cause it always shrinks---and I have to sit there and pull pull so it doesn;t hug my body ---now I am looking forward to clothes maybe hugging my body.LOL --I am almost done with x-mas shopping and getting more excited as it nears- my husband and I joined a gym together for he needs to lose a few puonds also - and I can't wait to weighin there I believe I have lost about 10 lbs since joining 2 weeks ago - WOO HOO yes!
I am a member of Soroptomist International of Gold Canyon and we meet 3 Thursdays a month and I went to the first meeting in about 3 monthes for me due to my work schedule and only 2 girls know about the surgery - the others I have choosen not to let know- but one comes over and in our dues each month is the breakfast buffet where we meet - well I was munching on some fruit and she blurts out is that all you are eating - you need to eat more than that -I just sat there and stared at her - like please shut up - by that time all the ladies are staring at me - and I just advise her that I really am not hungry and grabbed a few pieces of fruit to tide me over till a lunch date with a friend ---now please go away b4 I take your skinny little ass and shove it in the cute little pot that was sitting on the table (which wouldn;t have felt very good due to there was a live cactus planted in it). I am working on my christmas cards and plan on getting my SECRET SANTA recipient her gift out today---I know finally ----I am still looking for work - trying to get on at a hospital here in the valley - but since I don;t have medical background I can;t land anything that will give me a foot in the door- but I am still chugging away at it - I have already looked into the local college has on line classes for registred dietician so I will begin that this spring - I would like to go on to work for one of the hospitals that has a bariatrics wing/facility. If I take the long haul I will be in school for about 4-5 years getting the REGISTRED DIETICIAN but I will have a AA inabout 2-3 years I have never gone to college b4 so I have to do all the pre reqs oh yeah - just like high school again - but welll worth it right? I am 35 - so by the time I am 40 I will be full timein this field hopefully - and have a good 25 years b4 I need to retire - but b4 that I would like to go down to just part time status cause myhusband is 6 years older and he would like to take off during the summers from teh heat - but I figure if we travel to the same location during the summer and stay 2- 3 monthes there may be a facility/hospital that will give me hours during that time----that is a ways down the road -----well till next time I LOVE MY BAND
