Well, here I am 5 days in to Pre Op.........alot has happened since I wrote my first post.  Ive been approved in one fell swoop from my insurance company..(a small miracle)...no appeals needed!  Ive passed all my tests except for my upper gi next Wednesday...and then it will be surgery time.  I do know that this pre op diet is NOT a piece of cake...and now I know why everyone is sick of the protein drinks...!  I think part of it is that before, I could drink one if I wanted, and it wasnt any big deal...it was ok tasting...!  Now, when they are all I can drink, Im beginning to gag a little...and I havent even had surgery yet............Oh NO...!  But, Im forging ahead, with the long range vision of a healthy happy me.  I do think that the mind portion of this is definitely going to be the harder nut to crack....OH the twists and turns our minds take us thru food, Im so tired of all that.  I know Im going to need to continue to work on this, and in the meantime try to be kind to myself......Why is that so difficult?
