" The nursing staff did not seem to know a lot about bariatric surgery. They were unsure how my oversized bed worked. When I complained of thirst a kindly nurse's aide brought me a glass of ice water which I wasn't supposed to have, but she didn't know that. I waited to drink it until I heard from my surgeon's post-op nurse who provided the proper fluid and amount. I may have been on a different floor than where my surgeon's pts usually go."
