"Had my abdominoplasty 3/7/05. Dr. Pennino did an AMAZING job. I have a full anchor incision - and a totally flat, hard tummy with NO extra skin at all. He wasn't lying when he said ' you can bounce a quarter off that baby!' The pain was - well not even pain - I would just say 'discomfort'. It has been a breeze, really! "It's discouraging that the wait is so long, but Dr. O'Malley is the best around. He is very thorough and professional, so it is worth the wait. My consultation with him was about 45 minutes in the waiting room, and about 3 minutes with him. He asked me a few questions, and checked me over. I had no questions because I have been researching this for almost a year - and he explained everything again in the group meeting. From risks, to how the procedure is done, to how you succeed or fail - nothing is left unsaid. Diane at the office has also been very knowledgeable, professional and thorough. "Surgery day was very smooth. Everyone was very well prepared, and every step went without a hitch. I opted for a private room and I am so very glad I did. I was very rested, and received excellent care. Rooms could be temperature controlled individually, so it was great to have the air blasting. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! Prior to surgery my thoughts were: Very slow in outpatient admissions. Also, the chairs for the group session were quite small. Although I fit fine, I noticed they were way to small for some people and I felt really bad. Duh. Why not get bigger chairs w/ no arms??"
