Hello, AMOS family...I stopped in to see Deanna last evening during my lunch break. She was awake and doing fine, hitting the old morphine button whenever she needed. Drowsy but in good spirits she wanted to get up to walk but doctors orders said not until today. She hates the NG tube but understands the importance. Only thing she complained about last night was a dry mouth. They told her she could have ice chips but then were reluctant to give them to her so she made do with swabbing her mouth out with one of those spongy toothettes they give you in the hospital. I managed to drop back in later on with some chapstick and I think once she coated those parched lips she might have gotten a bit of sleep. She is now over the WLS hill and is coasting into a better, healthier, more energetic life. Suzza
