The journey begins.......

Feb. 20,2008....Hello. After years of research and thinking and praying, I've decided that bariatrtic surgery is the tool necessary for me to lose weight and regain some normalcy in my life . I've been working with Dr. Voellinger and his wonderful team for the past few months. My highest weight was 375 and I'm now at 352. We've been playing the insurance game so far and hopefully I will be approved and obtain a surgery date sometime next month. At that time, I'm sure I will be writing of my day to day journey. I'm excited...............and nervous, but I really feel this is the best route. Good luck to all of you in your journeys and I look forward to being a part of this group and appreciate the support.
