One Year After
Sep 03, 2009
It has been exactly one year since my surgery and what a journey it has been. I feel awesome and, just as happily, I look good too. I have lost 105 pounds and am within 6 pounds of my goal weight. I have gone from a size 24 to a size 8.
I have been most fortunate inasmuch as I have not had any problems whatsoever. I can eat and drink normally and have really had few of the side effects commonly associated with RNY such as gas. In fact, I have much less gas now than ever before.
I have experienced the hair loss, but Biotin keeps that in check. Thankfully I've always had really thick hair so what loss I have experienced was not visible to anyone but me. Even my hairdresser did not notice any significant changes.
