"<Font face="tahoma"><font size=3><p align="left">I had my first consult with Dr. Josh Steiner in Lexington, Kentucky yesterday and I really liked him. He was kind and compassionate to me and I found him to be very knowledgable concerning this surgery. I had given up on Dr. Geller and had really gotten uncomfortable with him not moving on my case. I am a revision and I got the feeling that since Dr. Geller is new that he just did not know how to proceed with me. So, finally I changed docs. I feel that Dr. Steiner's office staff is very efficient and helpful. They have already called today and gotten started on all my pre op testing. WOW! this was quick. The after care program at The Center for Weight Loss Surgery is great. They do require a lot of you but it is necessary if you are going to suceed at this surgery,. Dr. Steiner did address the risks associated with this surgery. Being a nurse, I do pay a lot of attention to the bedside manner. I hate grumpy doctors but Dr. Steiner has a great personality, smiles a lot, is really caring and i believe his competence is great also. He has lots of training for doing this surgery. Overall, I would rate him about 10 on a 1-10 scale. He is great!! The rest of the staff at the Center for wls if great also. Karen Hillenmyer, the P.A., and Director of the program is one of the most knowledgeable people in this field. And then there's Donna. What can I say? She is just the best office person to work with. She is also a nurse and is very helpful. Amanda, the dieticain(sp) is a wee bit of a girl who has never had a weight problem in her live but she really cares for us and is also very knowing about all our foods and etc. "
"They were severeally understaffed during my stay and everytime I needed something, I had to wait forty minutes to an hour to get it. Nurses did not check on me. They did not even come into the room unless I called and waited forever on them. I had no one staying with me and it was rough. I will not go there again by choice."
