Victoza

Jun 02, 2017

Having more success with Victoza than with anything I have ever tried (including Lapband).  I have lost 25 pounds in 10 weeks.

6 pounds from being what I was the day I had lap band surgery in February 2008.  :(  ~  No ones fault but my own.   Do I care??   I don't really know anymore.  It is something that consumes my mind, but I must want to eat more than I want to be healthier or I would not continue to eat the things that I know are against me.   Why can't decisions be a one time for a life time thing.   We would all choose to be a healthy weight and then move on to other things.

The older I get the more comfortable I am as me ~  no matter the hairs that keep turning up gray or the size of my body or the skin that is aging.   I find I am enjoying my own company more and more and I worry less about what others think or say.  However, I know I need to be healthier and I know I should be eating better and getting more exercise because I need to be here for my children as long as I can.  With that being said, I will hopefully start making small changes in my life to move a little more and eat a little less sugar.  Baby steps....baby Steps.... baby steps..... and hopefully little changes will eventually add up to big changes on the scales.

Right back where I was in February 2008 when I got my lap band surgery.   If I were to say that I have a plan or even care, I would by lying so for now I will plead the 5th.

VSG ?????

Nov 18, 2011

Looks like there maybe a doctor in Tifton GA. (30 minutes from my house) that does the VSG surgery.  Thinking about making an appointment to talk to him about it.  After I investigate it on OH of course :)

Almost back up to the weight I started at on this journey.  There are no words for the frustration and disappointment I feel.  Back in 16 pants and 1X shirts.

Is there anyone out there that has been there and done this?

Only one pound. I don't understand it.  I am eating so much more protein and I am eating fewer calories.

Went to the Howard Diet Clinic yesterday.  They were very nice and took up lots of time with me.  (more than the lapband doctor ever did.)  He spent 45 minutes explaining the program.  According to the Tanita Body Composition Analyzer, I need to lose 38 pounds.   I decided to go with the Lipotropic Injection with b12 and B complex instead of just the b12 shot.  This shot is suppose to help process and excrete chemical waste in the body and increase your energy and metabolism.  They gave me a prescription for adipex, a multi-vitamin and chromium.   I weighed 171 on my scales yesterday and 169 on the doctors scales.   Hopefully, this will give me the energy I need to do a little more exercise and curb my appetite.  This war against the scales never ends.

Went to a clinic this week to get some diet pills.  Not super excited about it because I've been down this road so many times and I know the pills will work for a few months and then my body will adjust to them and they will not work anymore.  :(   I am feeling out of control.  I have eaten everything I want for 7 months and I have gained lots of weight.  My average weight for the past 2 years (before having band removed) was 155.  I now weigh 170.   It is very depressing to know that I had a tool and it made it possible for me to have some control over my eating and my weight and now I have nothing to depend on but my own self discipline and I have never had any of that so I am feeling very vulnerable.   My daugher and I are trying to help each other out.  Our goal is 20 pounds by April 1st.   I sure hope we can motivate each other to stay away from the sweets.

Five months without a band and I've gained 30 pounds.  I'm very frustrated and angry with myself.   I don't come here often because I have nothing to be proud of us far as what I am doing for myself regarding my weight.   I have given up once again.

Trying to work on not eating at night.  I have a terrible habit for 14 years now of getting up in the middle of the night and not being able to go back to sleep until I have eaten something.   I made it through the night last night with only a glass of milk. I could probably drop atleast five pounds if I could stop this insanity!
