Wow I can't believe it has been so long since I have posted anything.  I have been so busy with living life again I tend to forget to keep up to date here.  I am now wearing a size 16 pair of jeans and I have to be honest I can't remember the last time I was this size.  I am sure it was back before I was in high school.  It does feel great to be able to do things I never thought I would or could ever do.  This choice for WLS saved my life.  It has given me another chance.

My weight loss has slowed down but I have been testing the waters more and more with my food choices. I do dump on foods that are high in fat.  I hate dumping so I have been really good about watching my sugars and fats more carefully.  I still have 50 or so pounds I would like to lose but know that I am really going to have to work at it and use this tool that I have been given.

I stopped writing down my food intake or my exercise workouts but I am back to doing both.  I really want to get down to goal and stay there so if it means that I write everything down again that is what I will do.  My best friend and I are going on a cruise next summer with our daughters and I plan to be at goal by then and to enjoy myself in a swimsuit and be able to keep up with our teenage daughters.  My friend was suppose to do the lap band the same time that I did the bypass but for some reason she backed out but now that we are working together at the ESD and have our breaks and lunches together we go for walks around the capital and around campus.  She is really getting motivated to have the lap band done again.  I am so thrilled and will be there with her through it all.  It has been great to be able to help her and my friend Richard.  They keep me motivated as well.
