I am currently almost 39 years old. I have been overweight since I have had my 3 kids.ages 19-18-16. I gained 60 - 80 then 60 during my pregnacies and I have had a hard time loosing it since.. I am a bit heavier than the day I gave birth to my youngest just over 16 years ago.. I now have the starting of arthritis in my knee and hip do to a serious fall 2 years ago.. I was told that if the weight does not come off I will end up wheel chair bound before I am 50.  I am still young and want to be able to enjoy playing with my grandchildren in the future. I have been researching weight loss surgery for about 8 years.. even went as far to apply for it out of country and got denied.. recently found the Windsor Bariatric & Assesment Center in Windsor , Ontario.. I am currently in the program for that. .I had to quit smokine which I have done successfully for  4 almost 5 months now. I am following the Canadian food guide as per my dietician.. doing ok on it so far I am human so I have had my lapses but they are very few much to my own surprise. I have given up my Pepsi which was the hardest thing by far to do. but I am on a mission to be able to get the surgery and start feeling better and living better.  I am determined to do this.. I know that the surgery is by no means the easy way out.. its the hardest way to do it possible. but I have tried the diets, the excercie, the prescribed drugs etc.. etc etc.. I got no where.. I am pretty healthy regardless of my being overwieght I have no other serious illnesses due to my weight. I do however suffer from insomnia but I have had that since before I was heavy.

Looking forward to the future and a thinner me.
