Pre-Op testing for my Knee Surgery

Sep 10, 2007

Dr. ordered a chest X ray and EKG prior to surgery.  Well my EKG came back sinus Bradycardio, which I have a heart stent in, so I expected that but what I didn't expect was my chest x ray showed a nodule or a shadow.  They have ordered a CT scan for a closer look.  Please pray it is shadow.  I am an ex-smoker and right now I am scared.  I smoked a lot of cigs and I smoked for nearly 30 yrs..  If I could only go back in time.....................

Knee Surgery Scheduled

Sep 03, 2007

I haven't been able to walk, other than a hopple, since April. I have seen 2 doctors, had x rays, an MRI and finally they have decided they need to operate.  The MRI showed a torn cartilage but the orthopedic surgeron didn't think it was torn.  He drained fluid and injected and made me  continue to suffer.  Finally, when none of his conservative methods worked he scheduled me for surgery.  I really want to be able to walk normal.  Take a walk in the evening, walk though WalMart instead of riding in a cart.  He said it will probably be 12 weeks after surgery until I can walk normal.  I will be marking my calender. My youngest granddaughter starts school tomorrow.
It just doesn't seem possible.  Seems like I just watched her birth.
