9 days post op
Mar 24, 2011
Today is Thursday and I am 9 days post op. I seem to be doing fairly well. Not too much to report aside from I still seem t be tired although I think it seems to be more from not using the cpap than anything else. I have been having issues with it since I came home. I am now trying to get the auto machine. Hopefully that will make a difference. I did call the Nut the other day to ask about the food plan. The pan that I got at the hospital stated that all Sleevers and DSers should stay on full liquids for 3 weeks. When I called the nut she told me to look on line that I had been given the old plan (nice). I pulled it up and it states I am able to have scrambled eggs etc thin pureed stage. I am not sure that that is correct since all the other info I was given said 3 weeks so I am trying to stay at the full liquids with strained soups at least till I see Dr. Roslin on March 31. I see the nut then also. I seem to be able to take in more than a few teaspoons which concerns me and drinking does not hurt nor take me forever to have a half cup of anything. Cold seems to have issues with my tummy but aside from that not much else. I have started taking a 2ND prilosec because I am finding that have been getting hungry and I think it is the acid. Seems to work somewhat. Better safe than sorry. I'll post after my Visit unless something monumental comes up.by the way I have lost a total of 31 lbs since the day I came home which was March 17th. Some of that was weight I had gained in the hospital from IV fluids. 23 of the 31 is all FAT lost!!!! I also do not have swollen ankles anymore!!
