I am a 58-year-old married man who lives in NE Washington state, about 30 miles south of the Canadian border. For years I have tried to tackle my weight issues. It even shortened a promising career in the Marine Corps. I am now at the point where my right knee is barely useable and my left is beginning to hurt. To get knee surgery I need to drop much of my weight. I had been reluctant to have weight loss surgery, but it has truly become a must for me to enjoy my remaining years.
I had my consultation visit in Spokane Washington with the MultiCare surgery group on 04/28/2022. I was told I am an excellent candidate. I've been given my "marching orders" and have pretty much everything scheduled to complete the prescreening process. I'm very motivated and excited for this to happen. I can't think of one item I am regretful or scared of. I'm stepping off on an amazing journey.
