I've never really been a light weight. I started gaining most of my weight in high school. I am at my hightest now at 278. I have done the dieting thing and did excellent there for a minute. Lost almost 60 lbs. But then gained it back plus 5. That was 3 years ago. So  here i am now. I have choosen to have bypass surgery. it was recommended by my neurologist for a condition i have called psuedotumor cerebri (building up of fluid around the brain, is causes pressure headaches, dizziness, and what bothers me the most is i can constantly hear a whooshing heart beat in my left ear 24/7. And in my case optic nerve swelling that can ultimately cause blindness). My neurologist and surgeon said that for some reason unlucky overweight women (yours truly) excess fluid builds up around the brain and losing weight is one of the key factors in fixing the problem. And yes, men do have this too. It is more common in women though. Which brings me to where i am today.

I work as a 911 dispatcher. I sit on my behind for 12 hour shifts. This does not help with my weight at all. But the good thing is that my job is paying for us to go to a gym for the next 6 months until our rec center is remodeled. So I'm just taking it one day at a time. Here I go on my weight loss journey :)
