So i am nearly 7 years out and more than slightly over 200# now...man..i am so mad...last january - may i lost 30# and that is great- but i went on vacation and as usual - fell the heck off track. so i am trying "back on track together" this group says that the pouch works- just gotta get back to basics.  I am here to get back to basics.  UGH.

ok- SLIGHTLY over 200 again, SLIGHTLY obese (is that like a little pregnant), and only 90# lost now!  Rats......could hve been so much worse...so have to do the right things again....25 gained - 35 lost...(?) here is to a new beginning with all of my friends

OK--3 mile stones! all in one month! Shut up, this is just the fuel l needed to continue on. I need to lose at least 32 more lbs in order to be 'normal' weight--- probably wont make it there by 12 months but --i will get there. My weight loss has slowed down a lot....But Rome was not built in a day.....and so i keep on!

OK...I have not posted to my profile since the very beginning... although i have been a slower loser i am still proud of my progress.  I have added a new avatar....AND some of my monthly pictures......i have not been all that proficient on keeping these things updated......but i will try from now on..

i am 4.5 weeks post op and have lost 32 lbs.  it is really crazy going into the closet and picking out a pair of jeans that i just had on last week ----that are now too big.......yipee...thanks to this website --i know that despite small plateaus i am still right on track .  i finally added a picture to my profile...it took me this long to figure out how to do it.  I feel kind of silly to putting in my wedding picture......but it is about as close to accurately depicting my surgery weight as i could get.  I was actually 11 pounds heavier surgery day!  it is really great here on the losing side ---glad i joined you all!

surgery 12/21/2006.....all went really well.....not much pain - i would call it discomfort rather than pain. it does feel like i was hit in the stomach by a baseball (left side only)  and i have no appetite!

I called my mom the day after surgery to tell her that i had done it  ---she initially hung up on me --i called her back (could barely hear her my heart rate monitor was beeping so loud)  she asked a couple of questions --and later came by the hospital.  at the hospital i handed her the paperwork talking about after care and diet  and she became educated.  the more she learns the more excited she has become.  i know that if she knew then what she knows now, she would have been there with me- but without the knowledge- she would have had a nervous breakdown and i did not want to risk that ...so i kept it to myself.
today is one week post op- as of this morning i weigh 269 and i feel really good.........
