Approved!

Actually, I saw the surgeon on a Monday and I think I was approved by that Fri.  There was some question initially about what day surgery was going to be scheduled for, then the person who notifies the patient of approval was out sick, so I found out the following week that I had been approved.  But, it truly became totally real to me (what if they made a mistake and told me the wrong info!) when my copy of the insurance approval letter came in the mail!  Woo-hoo!  I did the happy dance then!!!!!   I was so busy telling people close to me and setting things up for my absence at work that I forgot to post this blog!  I'm actually taking a vacation before my surgery.  I had planned this vacation last summer, well before I was scheduled for surgery.  But actually this will work out great.  I'll be rested and relaxed before my surgery.  I'll be out for two weeks, then in for two days, then I estimate being out for another two weeks post-op.  I see my surgeon for follow-up the day before I plan to go back to work .  Should work out great!   And I even have a local friend who has volunteered to be my WLS Angel.   I am sooo psyched!!!  What a great way to be wrapping up the old year and ringing in the new!
