Hi.
I'm 11 days post op and down almost 20 pounds from my post op weight. I have developed raised welts that itch at my incision sites but the surgeions office said that's normal. i'm wondering how long it lasts and hoping it goes away soon. getting my protien in through grape isopure and cottage cheese. cannot wait until Tuesday when i can have an egg lol. i'm taking in about 50 oz of h2o a day but working on it. it's hard. i get tired easy but walk for 30 minutes a day. nothing worth having is easy. thanks to everyone for your support.

Well, I'm home from the hospital. I'm burping and hiccuping some but don't think it's cause to worry. Dr. Kligman is amazing and his staff is exceptional. My nurse, Keisha was wonderful the first night in the hospital. She got my pain pump for me since they forgot to hook me up to one post op. i finally got it at 130am after my surgery. I'm getting in the protien and as much water as possible but it's been hard. i'm about to take a few laps around the dining room table and call it a night but wanted to post that I made it through to the other side. thanks to all who sent well wishes my way.

Hello everyone. Today's the big day. I'm scheduled for 3:15 this afternoon. I'm not really nervous about the surgery or the anesthesia. Surprisingly, i'm anticipating the swallow study afterwards. I'm an xray tech so I know what it consists of but that's the only thing making me nervous. anyhow...wish me luck and thank you to everyone for your support. i'll post when i'm home. ((((hugs))))

Today is Wednesday, May 14, 2008. The surgeon's office submitted my paperwork to the insurance company yesterday so now we wait. It was such a long process but more than worth it. I had to have a few additional studies done but I am sooo ready. cross your fingers...
may 27, 2008. I found out on 5-22 that I am approved woohoo. my surgery is July 22.I had to have time to get coverage for work. I am sooo excited.
