Happy 6th year anniversary to me and my HoneyB!

Everyday is a day of thanksgiving.  I thank God for laying His tender hands on me, healing me mentally and physically.  I am beginning to feel better all over.  The last incision "hole" is now closed; my nausea is slowly but surely going away; my depression is subsiding; I can walk a little further/get around better with less pain.  I took a sit down bath today and let me just say, even losing the weight that I've lost thus far has provided me with, um, better access to those private areas!  By no means am I small, but I am smaller than I've been in a long, long time.  

My fav commercial these days is SlimFast's 'Find YOUR "slim" '.... 

I tried on a suit given to me by my play Mom approximately 2 years ago, size 18, which was waayy to small for me to begin with.  She told me that, one day, I would be able to wear it.  Well, I fit into the size 18 skirt although the jacket was super-duper tight...only a matter of time.  JUST ONE OF THE SIDE EFFECTS OF THIS SURGERY.  You see, the true goal here is BETTER HEALTH, but wearing a smaller size comes with the territory.....

I've been on a buying spree for healthy foods and new herbs and spices...

I received a "pm" from "soon2bslim" saying that I inspire her!....

I made my very first fruit smoothie today, using a recipe from Bunny.  It was da' bomb!!  Also made my very first 7 Layer Salad--very good!....

Anyway, I just wanted to ramble about what's in my head.........

All I can say is, make sure you've tried everything possible to lose the weight on your own before taking the surgical route.  It is NOT EASY!  It does NOT feel good -- at least not right now.  Now with THAT said, I know that IT'S GONNA BE ALRIGHT!!  All I have to do is hold on, wait and see, because it's gonna be alright!  It's prayer time, y'all.

Well, this is the day before MY BIG DAY and I just don't feel the way I thought I'd feel.  Hmmm.....
Confusion? Remorse? Guilt?  I don't know.  Anyway, for more on my "feelings", read my entry for "April 29" in the MY STORY section below...

April 30, 2007 will be the beginning of my new life.

Today is Saturday, February 3, 2007.  I have finally finished all initial consults.  The elusive Pulmonology Consult was the last one, and that was completed yesterday.  So now, we wait...

"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:31

I have great expectations for the New Year, 2007.  It is now 4:45 AM on Monday, January 8,  and I have been up all night--okay--for the last 2 nights!  Crazy, right?  Well, on tomorrow I will have my Cardio and Pulmonologist visits.  The following day, I'll have my Psych exam and my first visit with Dr. Cahill.  I am so glad that Tony (Program Director) called me in advance to let me know what I needed to do (schedule other consults, etc.).  I am praying that all goes well.  God is good.  He knows what we need, when we need it.  I wanted to have this surgery done approximately three years ago....but obviously that was not the right time.  NOW's the time.  I know it is going to happen without a hitch.  All will be well.  That's all for now.
