The story below was my original story on the other formatted site:

I am very pleased that I have been "moved up" again.  I don't think it can get any closer.  Pre-op tests on the 12th of Feb, Dr. on the 19th, and Surgery on the 27th.

02/24/2004: I just found out this morning that my surgery had to be post-poned.  My surgeon injured his shoulder and will be unable to perform any surgeries this week.

03/09/2004: Kristi contacted me this morning letting me know that there has been another cancellation.  Dr. Kligman has injured his back and may need surgery himself.  It will possibly be another 4 to 6 weeks.  It could be May to July before I have a new date.

05/15/2004: I had my surgery on May 12, 2004 at the Medical College of Ohio and so far everything has been great!  Hardly any pain.  A mild discomfort from the "gas" they pump you up with.  I was in the hospital the day of my surgery and after a night in the hospital doing lots of walking (yes throughout the night) I was able to go home the next day.  I made it home on Friday in time for my Birthday.  Wow, what a gift!  So far, no complications and hardly any pain.  As of today, I am already walking 20 minutes at a time and trying not to over-do because I feel so good!  No one believes I just went through a five (5) hour abdominal surgery a few days ago.

08/15/2005: I can't believe that it has been so long since I have updated.  I am doing great and life couldn't be better.  Could always use more exercise, but in the past 15 months, I have lost 167 pounds.  My current weight fluctuates around 231 pounds.  I am a new person.  I ran into my best friend last week (I had not seen him and his wife in two years) and he didn’t recognize me.  My surgeon left not long after my surgery date.  Only a few post op appointments with him prior to leaving.  Dr. Kligman was awesome.  Baltimore has a great asset to their hospital.  I will hopefully update my entire profile in the future, but that’s it for know.  Good Luck to all!

07/26/2006: Awesome!  That is all I can say.  This sight gets better and better everytime I check in.  Well my surgery was back in May of 2004.  My weight-loss leveled out over a year ago and has pretty much stayed the same. Every once in a while it is a good idea to do a reality check on the results and think about what you went through to get to this point.  It makes a person step back and re-think what they are eating.  Drink, Drink, Drink.  Always drinking water or Crystal Light (Peach Tea).  Updating my BMI so it will better reflect who I am today.  I hope it works.

My original BMI was 52.2.

Again, Good luck to all!  Dr. Kligman was awesome.  I owe a lot to this guy!  I wish he was still around for the encouragement.
