09/12/07 - 100 lbs GONE....10 more to my goal..I'm so excited.

09/05/07 - It was TIME!!! I'm taking a cruise with my daughter at the end of the month and my Passport photo just did not match my driver's license. Of course, I was 97 lbs heavier. So off to the DMV and I handed the gentlemen my old license he said this doesn't even look like you!!! Exactly the reason I'm here...Got the new license and actually the picture looks good...

08/04/07 - A SIZE 8....I can't believe it. I purchased my first pair of size 8 capris and they fit...I thought it would be another month or so before I could fit in them but I put them on, zipped them up and my husband said they look good..

07/17/07 - So I haven't really lost anymore weight since June but I'm in the final 23 lbs of my goal and know that it will be harder. The GREAT thing is that even though no weight loss my clothing size has changed. I kinda of went from a 14 last month to a size 12 for about 2 weeks and TODAY I PURCHASED MY FIRST PAIR OF SIZE 10 JEANS!!! Holy COW I can't remember if I EVER wore a size 10..

06/24/07 87 lbs down...almost there although it takes a little longer to drop the pounds now but as long as it keeps going down I'm happy.

06/03/07 - 84 LBS GONE....I made a purchase this weekend that I thought I would NEVER do..I got a 2 piece bathing suit for around the house...still not ready to wear one in public:-)

05/18/07 - WOW!!! 80 lbs... My husband is getting a little worried that 30 more pounds and I'll be nothing but bones. He says I'm so skinning now...I love the fact that I do not take any more prescription drugs, I have more energy and the MAIN reason I wanted to have the surgery besides the health part was for my 7 year old grandson. i want to be around to see him grow up and at this age I love riding bikes with him and even at 45 years old we did rolling skating. I will tell you that at my age taking those 2 falls like I did (he has never skated before) by the time we left my backside and wrist hurt. BUT IT WAS WORTH IT!!!

4/21/07 - I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE IT.....74  down....I get alot of comments from people that have not seen me in a few months "Wow, I can't believe that's you"....I feel GREAT...It was the best decision I have made. I have more energy, I don't have to look in the PLUS size clothes any longer however,  in fact I still catch myself going there first...Down 6 sizes from where I started.04

04/04/07 - YIPPEE!!!!! 70 lbs GONE!!!! I can't believe it.

03/28/07 - YEAH!!! 64.5 lbs with only 45.5 to go. This journey has been the best for me. I no longer take any prescription medicine. I have more energy and the best of all I CAN PLAY AND HAVE FUN WITH MY 6 YEAR OLD GRANDSON!!

03/15/07 - 3 month post-op checkup today. Down 60.5 lbs. Blood work came back GREAT!!! Dr. Webb was very pleased with my progress. He states "I'm still a work in progress". It's been about 2 weeks now that I've noticed that strands of hair seem to come out just running my hand through my hair. Of course, I knew this was part of post-op. I tried the Biotin and Zinc however, I was sick both days that I took them. Very bad pains in stomach so I've stopped. Over time it will stop and right now it's not that noticable.

03/05/07 - 59.5 so close to that 60 pound mark. Things have actually been going very well.

02/18/07 - 57 lbs. GONE..........never thought I would get below 200 but I'm there are just shy of the 60 lbs lost. I feel great and have more energy.

01/28/07 Amount LOST 50 LBS - It's hard to believe that I have hit the 50 lbs lost mark. There was a day that I thought I would never be able to get this weight off. My family and friends cannot believe how the weight is just melting off however, it would not be coming off without the tool and following the diet. I haven't been real good with the excercise part of the program but my husband and I are remodeling around our house and I think that's hard work...We are looking to purchase bikes once the porch is complete.

01/15/07 BMI 34.8 Amount lost 47

01/10/07 - BMI 34.3 Lost 45

12/25/06 - BMI 35.4   Amount lost  37

12/18/06 - Seen the surgeon today for the 1 month post op checkup. All is fine and I'm down 28 lbs. since I first saw the surgeon.

12/11/06 - Just shy of 4 weeks post-op and down 28.5 lbs and just about 3 sizes smaller. I have mostly good days however, items that I still have problems with is eggs or Egg Beaters I can't seem to keep them down. A word of advise is to take small bites and chew, chew, chew before swallowing.

11/19/06 - I don't remember much on the day of surgery. I was back in my room by 1:30 and out of bed walking by 8pm that night. My mouth was so dry and you can't have anything to drink but they finally allowed me to brush my teeth which made it a little more bearable. I came home on Friday. I'm not in alot of pain but I do get tired easy. I walk every 2-3 hours as required and continue the liquids. Sugar Free popsicles are the best for me.

11/08/06 Been doing the pre-Op Diet and I'm in week 2. I have alot of support from Friends at work and family at home that helps. I finished the grocery shopping to prepare for the liquid diet and the week after surgery. Next Wednesday is right around the corner.

10/31/06 Surgery date is scheduled for 11/15 at 9:30 a.m. EST at Memorial Hospital in Jax, FL. I'm on the pre-op diet and so far doing well.

10/21/06 Received Approval letter today from Cigna.

10/18/06 Hospital scheduling just called and scheduled my Gallbladder Ultrasound and Upper GI series for 10/23 and 10/25. Once complete all that's left is my Primary Care Physician's clearance. Then getting a surgery date. I'm going to begin my Pre-Op diet which is like the Atkins on Monday. My hope is that I'll get through the craving part within the first 2 weeks.

10/17/06 - Called Cigna on 10/16 and was advised they had no record of my papework. I called Megan at LWLC today to ask if she would call them and was advised by both Lois and Megan that CIGNA called yesterday to say I was "APPROVED". They have the number. I called Cigna back today to confirm and my approval letter is in the mail.

10/11/06 - Package sent to insurance Cigna HMO. Now it's a waiting to hear phase.

10/07/06 - Psy eval has been completed.

10/02/06 - Had my first appt. with Dr. Webb today. He is very pleasant to deal with. He reviewed my information and answered my questions. Next step Psy Eval then paperwork to the Insurance company. If approved just a matter of setting a surgery date. I'm hoping that it will not be a fight at Insurance for approval. My doctor is documenting the medical neccesity along with diet information to send with the file. Keeping my fingers crossed.

09/30/06 - 1st appointment with the Surgeon is on October 2nd. Once I complete this and the pscyh evaluation then it's submitting the paperwork for approval to the Insurance company.

08/22/06 Had my first appointment with LWLS. I hand carried my medical files to the appt. along with my letter and a letter of support from my husband. The longest part is getting your medical records so you may want to get your records yourself (normally a small fee) and take with you to your first appointment.
My insurance carried is Cigna HMO which as a clause that the surgery must be medically necssary and also have a diet history.
