Hello Again....

May 25, 2009

Hey People,
I had an interview for a Physician Assistant position in Georgia and I met with some local sorors. One of them actually said I was an "itty bitty Delta." Can you believe that! I'm still between a size 10-12 and my goal is to wear a size 8 maxi dress for my graduation in 3 mths. That is the FIRST time in my life that I was referred as a small anything..
I thank God for having this surgery and doing well with it. I will be 3 years post-op on 8/14/09 and it is hard to believe it has been 3 years. I have been solidly in one-derland for almost 2 of the 3 years. My weight has never even been close to 200 lbs anymore. I don't let my weight even get too close to the late 180s. And, that's only during my "bad" days when I am eating junk while I study for these end of rotation exam in the physician assistant program.
And, I'm going for a Lasik eye surgery consult next month. I will let you all know how that goes. I feel almost like the bionic women with all of these changes.... First, the braces in 2004, the gastric bypass in 2006, and now lasik in 2009. At some point, I'm going to have the loose skin on my arms, lower abdomen, and thighs removed as well. Trust me that it is it not at all terrible like some of what you see on tv as far as my loose skin. I just want it removed. I don't feel confident in wearing anything that shows my arms. I certainly always wear something to mask my excess skin on my tummy. And, for those reading, I know it is not that bad. It's probably no worse than some woman who has a little excess tummy from pregnancies.

Talk to you all after my lasik consult 6/22/09!
