Menstrual cycle - My surgery is set for May 21st and I am sure I will be on my period. Will they still do the surgery? Anyone else have that problem???

Finally got my Surgery Date!!! Yippeeee - May 21, 2012 is my surgery date and yes I am nervous, but excited all at the same time! Any one else for a surgery date of May 21, 2012??

Hubby not really excited about me wanting VSG - My hubby is a little scared for my safety under the knife. How did your spouses feel about you wanting this surgery.
