My hair was cut, I got a facial and had my makeup done at an Avada salon in Charlotte. I was a day I will never forget.

My grandmother died about a week and a half ago and she lived in California. This weekend was her memorial service and so I went...living my children and husband.. oh what fun that was- i GOT SO MUCH READING AND COMPUTER WORK DONE IT WAS GREAT..
The best part of the "sad" weekend was flying on the airplane.. i fit in the seat without a Seatbelt extender.. It was like EATING CHOCOLATE.. I was so excited to be on mulitpule planes without be embarressed to ask for a seat beat extender.. I wanted to shout it to the World.. I didn't need one..
I got MULITPLE compliments for my extended family on how "great" I looked.. It really was so worth it all..
The ONLY hard thing about the whole trip besides grieving was trying to find eatable FOOD in the airport.. Ofcourse I tired something I shouldn't have on the way home and was nauses on the crazy flight home.. which was over an hour and a half past the departure time.. I am tired.. Flying from California to eastern NC in one day.. takes a lot out of you... but
still happy I had the experiance of NO SEATBELT EXTENDER.. I COULD EVEN MAKE IT SMALLER..
yeah.....

Well this week I began REALLY EXCERSING.. That was interesting. I started ROLLER BLADEING.. This week was spring Break so I had to take my kids with me.. and I so enjoyed having them with me.
I have actually wanted to excersise.. That hasn't happened since I was in high school.
Eating has gotten better. Not as many things have been hurting as much as they go down. I go back to the Dr. tomorrow so it will be interesting what he says.
I was getting worried there for a while that maybe I had a blockage of some kind cause for a few days there even water was hurting.
Still haveing PROTEIN problems. Still can't get enough in.. Will ask that question to the dr. as well.
My WEIRD hives have gone away.. after 3 days of predisone.. Who knows what that was about. HOPE it doesn't happen again.
Well 30 pounds off.. Thank you Lord... I can't wait to see more come off.
I AM ALIVE AND I HAVE MADE IT 3 WEEKS...

WOW..
What an adventure this is.. I am feeling a bit frustrated.. I don't know what to eat.. and I am having a hard time finding things that I want to eat.. I am in the puree stage now and I HATE IT..
I am getting kind of worried the books say if I you don't meet your protein things will start happeing.. I know I have not been meeting my protein...
I keep trying to eat mashed foods but they seem to get stuck going down.. The only thing I would have changed about this whole process would be to have had more EDUCATION on what to eat and when and how to eat it.. I feel that is the only area that I am lacking.. The packet the Dr. gave me seems so "general" that it's hard to know if I am doing the right thing..
I did have a great moment this week...
I was wearing a pair of pants that I wore up to Greenville on the night before my surgery.. and as I was walking around the other night my husband and his parents said.. Uh,, do you think you could pull up your pants?
I laughed and about did a jig.. I HAVE NEVER HAD A PAIR OF PANTS FALL OFF ME.. I went into the bathroom and moved my hips a bit and they fell to the floor.
NO ONE had told me all day that my pants were falling off. I wasn't paying attention.. My shirt was holding them up.. I thought.... but no.. My underwear was sticking out and and my pants were almost at my hips..
So worth it.. just to have that feeling..
HELP WITH EATING SUGGESTIONS... PLEASE..
I AM DOWN OVER 20 PDS.. IN 3 WEEKS..
Praise the Lord..
Offically two weeks.

So.. I am feeling better each day. Got the stiches out- still pain in the left side but it is getting better each day as well.
Figuring out exactley what to eat is sort of hard.. I think I can eat it and then after about 4 bites... NAUSA... UH.. haven't gotten sick yet but I think my body was telling me I needed it mushyer.. I am so glad I did this.. I love feeling better.
Thats it for today..

I don't know how I made it but it was a long week. Lots of pain and I am sick of CLEAR LIQUIDS.. I got an infection on two of my sites and had to go back to the Dr. on Friday. On antibiotics and and it seems to be working.. they are looking better but still hurt a ton.
Ready for the Puree stage.
I love the weight loss though..
Talk with you soon
Home for the hospital

Boy was that an adventure. I am not regreting my decision.. just wish they or someone had prepared me for the "Dry mouth".
When I came out of surgery I was in TERRIABLE pain and I was asking the nurse for some moisture.. she kept fussing at me telling me that "I knew I couldn't have any thing to drink and I told her that I could not calm down tell I had some spit back in my mouth.. Thank goodness that nurses shift was about up and the next one that came on understood what I was trying to say.
They kept me well medicated, I didn't feel a whole lot of pain. It took them 24 full hours tell they had a bed for me and could transfer me to a hospital room. That was a bit hard to to go through.
I've been home 24 hours now and the hardest thing to do is remember to drink and drink my boost.. I have not wanted to actually "eat". I have done my walking and made a schedule for my eating.
Tomorrow we hope to go get the suger free stuff I can have for snacks.. I don't think I am ever going to enjoy taking medication in crushed form though.
Thanks everyone for all your support.
