~*~(From my heart to yours)I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.(unknown author)~*~Hugs~*~

Oh dear, Dyanna, you did get off to a rough start in your WLS journey to the losing side! My goodness, but let's hope you just got all problems out of the way early on, lol. I had to go 3 months before my second emergency surgery (penentrating ulcers). It sure would've been nicer to find them and fix them while so close to the first surgery. ;) Anyway, now the real journey begins for you once you are home. The real journey to a new and better life has begun! Stick to your doctor's orders, get your liquids in, walk every day if possible even if only for 10 minutes at first(with doc's blessings of course), and keep us posted! HUGS!

My lap RNY was done on 10/9/03. I came out of surgery fine. 3rd day I was up and walking, eatingr right on schedule, and feeling fine. All of a sudden I started vomitting bile up. This lasted for 24 hours. Then I started dry heaving and popped a staple loose on my pouch. It felt like I was going to die!. The took me back to emergency surgery where they had to perform an open surgery to repair the staple on the pouch and I had swelling so severe on the bottem juncture of the intestine, Doctor had to re-do that end of it. My veins started collapsing one by one after the second surgery that the doctor had to remove all my iv's. Getting up to walk was much harder now with the second complete surgery done. I am sore as hell and gained 1 lb before leaving the hospital because of the 3 iv's they were running wide open on me. I was sent home Sunday, Oct 19th. I was not expecting an extra week in the hospital, but I am home now and trying to keep my chin up!
