Hello everyone, I'm Erin.

I'm just starting out on this journey. I have been overweight/ obese since the age of 12 or so. I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome at the age of 16. Since it is very difficult to lose weight because of this, I have tried to lose weight many times, like I'm sure many of you have. I have thought about weight loss surgery for several years, and have not been ready for it until now. I have an appointment scheduled with my surgical team on May 4 for my workup, and will find out a surgery date after that. I'm hoping to have a roux-en-y, but we'll see what the team recommends. My mom is my support person- she is awesome!! Wish me luck!
