3 months pregnant

Jun 22, 2008

I am had the surgery 13 months ago and I now weigh 158 lbs. I just found out that I am 3 months pregnant. This is a little scary since the surgeon told me not to get pregnant for 18 months.

90 lbs long gone!

Jan 14, 2008

I am at 175 now. I did not reach my goal of 165 by 01/01/08 but it was no problem. I am so overly satisfied with my results that it really did not matter. I wish everyone luck with your personal struggles. I have certainly had a hard time but results like this do not come without a fight! I posted a new photo. I know it is kind of racy but it was a joke photo taken at a big party my husband and I attended in Hollywood. I hope no one is offended by it. This is really one of the only recent photos I have to post, I don't take a lot pf pictures.

75 lbs lost

Nov 18, 2007

I am determined to lose 100 lbs by the new year. I have started to work out more now. I am trying to hit the treadmill at least 4 times a week. This can be challenging with a 1 year old but I really want to hit my goal or as close to it as I can. That would put me at 165 lbs. I do realize that this is pretty near impossible but I work better when I have  a goal in mind.

65 lbs lost

I have lost 65 lbs and now can really feel the difference. I feel great. I am anxious to see where this surgery is taking me!

Doing Well

Aug 16, 2007

I have been doing great! I have lost almost 50 lbs and feel fine. I am incredibly grateful for the surgery and all of the changes it has brought to my life!

Lots O Protein

Jun 03, 2007

I have been struggling to get in enough protein and fluids. I really hate those protein drinks, they are yucky. The doctor told me to eat lots of scallops and shrimp which are some of my favorite foods. That has really helped out. I will be four weeks out on the 9th and today I weigh in at 244, 21lbs lost. I think I am getting in between 35-45 grams of protein per day. I have dropped a size in clothes and that is great! I have a bunch of stuff just waiting for me to lose down small enough to get in to.

Feeling much better

May 20, 2007

I feel much better than I was the other day. I am still not 100% but I am able to function and enjoy my baby.
I have moved into the soft food stage and I have to say the refried beans and cheese never tasted so damn good! The ones with green chiles and lime or zesty salsa with mexican shredded cheese on top make a snack that can't be beat. I highly recomend this for anyone coming out of the full liquid stage.
It is Sunday 5-20 and I weigh 249. Wednesday will be my two week out anniversary and I am guessing that I will be at 245 lbs, 20 pounds lost in two weeks.
Not Bad Home Chicken!
I was trying to explain to my sister in law the other day how hard this actually is, I am not sure how to explain it to people. This is harder than having the baby.

A bad day

May 18, 2007

I had a bad day yesterday. I had some cream soup for lunch and got pretty sick. I threw up three times and felt so terrible, I wanted to just die and melt into the floor. I ended up just taking a dose of the pain meds the doctor gave me after the surgery and going to bed. I have not had to take any pain meds since Sunday. I woke up this morning and felt better and had an ok day today, although I was scared to eat anything. It seems like when I swallow I have a bump in my throat behind my collarbone. I have trouble swallowing past that. Also, when I eat or drink I get air trapped in my stomach and it is painful. I can't burp it out easily and it just sort of moves up and down my food passageway. I am not sure if this is all normal or not. I really hope that it is and that it all will soon pass. I am ready to eat a least some regular food and leave this liquid diet behind. I am not hungry per say but it is difficult to watch my husband eat a sub sandwich or burrito while I sip on a yucky protein shake. I don't really know why I am feeling all sorry for myself today but I most certainly have buyer's remorse.

12 days without food.........

May 15, 2007

Wow, that drain was really causing me some issues. Now that it is out I really feel great!

The only problem I have now is sticking to the full liquid diet....I am dying for a bite of chicken of fish or any real food for that matter. Arrgh I was on clear liquids for 2 days before and 2 days after surgery, and then the docter asked me to do full liquids for seven days! Dude....12 days without real food. No wonder I am losing weight all over the place, I am not EATING.

AAAARRRRRGHHH.....

Other than that everything is great. I am down to 255 from 265 on my surgery date 6 days ago.

It is Tuesday and I am supposed to stay on full liquids till Saturday. We will see if I can pull it off.

I'll try not to take a bite outta my baby, he is such a  scrumptous looking little man :)

Feeling great!

May 14, 2007

I had my surgery last Wednesday, it is Monday now and I feel great.

Especially after the drain was removed, that made a huge difference. I was having all of these sharp, spasming, abdominal pains. I thought that they were just gas pain, it was so bad that I was walking around doubled over when I got out of bed in the mornings. When the nurse removed that JP Drain I felt instantly better. What a relief :)

When I went in for surgery on Wed. 5-9 I was 265, today Mon. 5-14 I am at 257. I am pleased as pie, ummmmmmm pie sounds great!

Just Kidding ;)
